The procedure starts with a local anesthetic to numb the area completely. You should feel absolutely no pain at all during the process.
Next, Dr. Pearlman makes a small incision just under the two nostrils. This technique is sometimes referred to as a bullhorn lip lift, as the shape of the incision mirrors the look of a bullhorn. The incision placement around the natural creases of the nose make for minimal scar visibility.

Recovery
Because this is a surgical procedure, there is a bit of recovery time. You’ll likely experience significant swelling for the first few days, so you may want to take some “social downtime” until the swelling subsides.
